The winter holidays are less than four months away, so now is the time to stock up on gift cards! If you don’t already use gift cards at your salon or spa, here are a few reasons you should start!
Attract New Customers
Gift card recipients may not have heard of, or considered, your business. With referrals being one of the top sources of new clients, make it easy for your current customers to spread the word to their friends and family. You will then have the opportunity to convert these first-time visitors into loyal customers. With a great experience, even someone who has never been to a salon or spa may book future appointments and tell their friends about you!
It may take a few months to see the long-term results of a gift card program as you wait for the gift card recipients to come for the first time and see if they eventually become a regular customer. But even in the short term, you can see a bump in revenue! Since the recipient only pays a fraction of their total purchase, they may try something that they wouldn’t at full price.
