Cloud or Installed – It’s Your Choice

Insight Salon & Spa Software offers you a choice between installing the software on your computer or accessing Insight from the cloud (computing that uses the internet as a central resource in order to allow you to access your information from any web-enabled device* at any time and in any place). It doesn’t matter which platform of Insight you choose, both will work the same and have identical features available to them. Both platforms allow you to access the information from web-enabled devices over the internet but there are some key differences.

Installed Insight

The software is downloaded and installed on your Windows PC and all of your data stays on your PC. In order to allow other devices (e.g. Mac computer, tablets, smartphones, etc.) to connect to Insight, special software may need to be purchased and installed on the PC that Insight is running on. If you want multiple users to be able to connect and access Insight at the same time, there may be additional network licenses that will need to be purchased as well. While this typically costs more than the Cloud version to set up, it may be a better solution if you have very slow or unreliable internet connection.

Insight Cloud

The Cloud version of Insight is installed on our secure and private servers. You have access to your information through virtually any web-enabled device including Mac computers and iPads as well as other tablet devices. If you do not have a Windows-based PC that you can install Insight onto, the Insight Cloud version is the only way you can access Insight.

Which Software Is Best For You?

Regardless if you choose the Installed or Cloud version, you always have the option of switching to the other at any time.
